The Town is happy to announce that VISA is now accepted in anytime Self Service for all bills, including parking tickets and water/sewer utility bills. This popular card type is the latest addition to our online payment menu of options.
Important Announcement Held up at the RMV? Read carefully the release times with each payment type. Parking Tickets and Excise reported to the Registry of Motor Vehicles paid by credit card will release at the RMV in 2 business days. Debit cards will convert to electronic check (ACH) and all ACH will release the hold in no fewer than 6 business days.
Only 1 tax bill can be paid at 1 time. You will be redirected to restart the process to select and pay another bill (ex. multiple excise tax bills). We apologize for the inconvenience, this unintentional limitation is temporary. Parking Tickets by plate and Utility Bills by account do allow multiple payments in a single transaction. A new add-to-cart feature is now in testing and will be coming soon. Thank you for using the Anytime Self Service system!

Processing Fee Information For Online Payments
A fee for credit card use is added when paying with a credit card, see the credit card fee schedule for fee amount details. There is no same day release with online payment. As of July 1, 2013, the Town of Amherst will absorb the fee for online payment by eCheck (ACH).
